Floorplans of the Villa del Teatro Santucci

This diagram shows the various components of the villa: the horizontally-stripped portion to the right is Antonio's residence (next to the road) with agricultural storage buildings behind; the vertically-stripped portion is the villa itself with its rear wing (the ground floor of the wing is the garage); the two dots in front represent the palm trees which became infested and had to be removed; the three dots in the rear represent mature plane trees; there is a large sculptor's studio attached to the rear of the wing.

This older plan of the ground floor has the advantage of numbered rooms. Those being utilized at the moment are (3) the living room, (4) the half-bath, and (9) the kitchen. The others have had past uses: (2) is a deconsecrated chapel with a screened pass-through for female worshipers to (1) the breakfast/dining room; (8) was my father's billiard room; (11) was a modern kitchen installed in the '80s but removed with the furniture in 1997 (we call it the "transparent kitchen" and keep our chest freezer there); (6) and (7) are for circulation; and (5) and (10) are storage areas.

Here's a more recent floorplan for the ground floor: I've penciled in three fireplaces which were omitted and the sink on the left side of the kitchen. The transparent kitchen contains a storage closet marked "Rip" (whatever that means).

This older plan of the piano nobile is mostly correct but the room marked (2) is simply mistaken (the new plan below is correct). The master bedroom (3) has a fireplace across the SW corner as penciled in on the new plan. The master bath (2) is either a splendid instance of American kitsch (albeit Italian-inspired) or an eyesore: it's entirely lined in green marble from Brazil! The two main reception rooms (4 and 5) are very large; the front one has modern frescos above the doors. (1, 9 and 8) are bedrooms. (7) is a full-bath with shower. (6, 10, 11, 12 and 15) are additional bedrooms while (13) is a lovely study with a fireplace. (14) is an early 1940s bath with a shower.

This newer plan shows the master bath correctly but needed help for the fireplaces.
